Is the growth of facial hair completely genetic?

The only facial hair I can grow are chops and mustache, and even then, it's not thick facial hair(prob because I just have thin hair in general). I shave my face evenly because I had heard shaving will make it grow but alas, to no prevail for I have no hair on my chin to connect my chops and grow a goatee...Anyways, will I just never grow hair there cuz of genetics?

It's mostly genetic, but you can also talk to your doctor about checking your testosterone level and even if it's normal you could still ask for a couple of testosterone shots to increase body hair growth.

yeh I Think so,

Is the growth of facial hair completely genetic?

If your Dad has no facial then chances are pretty good that you won't either!

If your dad has to shave regularly then you might have to wait a little, based on your age.

Facial hair is overrated, and might help you win a "Spitting Contest" with your buddies at school or maybe you'll attract some young 15 yo girl.

The older you get, all the guys will have some and after a while, even having a beard, will start to look boring to the ladies. The girls will be looking for other signs that you may be different.

Go for the education!

After girls get tired of comparing facial hair or muscles as a way to tell your maleness, they will tend to choose guys who are more successful in Work, for the extra money, or, School for your intelligence.

After high school or in college, you'll find more intelligent women can be very sexy and won't care about your hair!

Good Luck!
