Hair Styles and Colours?

Im asking this question for a friend....

Shes got quite pale skin andhas currently got blonde hair, she is thinking of dying it to a brunette sort of colour. What colour would look best suited with the skin colour, whats the best way for her to go about dying it (she would prefer to use a home dying kit rather than salon dying), and any nice styles to have with this colour would be very appreciated, also any links you have or anything like that. She has quite thin hair so if there are any proffesional hair people on here that could help that would be great.

Does she have freckles? She could go strawbeery blonde or red if she had fair skin. The freckles would make it look extra cute. If she wants to go red, she's in luck because she has light hair already. Going light to dark is easier than vice versa.

If she wants to go brunette, it would depend on her eye color. If she had rich chocolate brown eyes, she could go Anne Hathaway in "The Devil Wears Prada" brown:

First of all, we don't know what she looks like, the shape of her face and her body feature. I am just making a safe guess, if she has pale skin and blonde hair, maybe she can try hazelnut,natural color but has a sexy touch to it, it might bring out her eyes more since her skin color is quite pale. Brunette might make her look even paler than she is. I would suggest her to go for a salon other than home dying kits, simply because she can speak to her hairstylist and make a decision together. Getting advice from a hairstylist might not be a bad idea. Besides, she should get a hair treatment after coloring. It will improve the quality of colored hair. Best if you can go with her so she can get a second opinion. I know how it feels when you can't make up your mind. lol!
