My FRESHLY relaxed hair is breaking off?

I had just relaxed my hair less than 2 weeks ago and it's falling out. I had relaxed it myself in case you're wondering, but when I felt the area where my hair broke off from it felt like I hadn't relaxed it.

I was wondering if I could go to the store and buy a mild relax and leave it in as if I had thin hair. If that's not possible I was wondering if I could simply dye my hair black (my hair is ash brown right now) and try to cover it up until I can do another touch-up?

get to the hairdresser who put the chemicals on it.

If I were you I'd stop doing everything and get to a professional salon while you still have hair.

Leave the dyes alone and use lots of conditioner

The texture and breakage of your hair is due to the damage you are creating by processing it over and over again. Forget the dye. Go to your salon. Get a deep conditioning treatment and a good haircut to get rid of the damaged part and start from scratch.

Sounds like you damaged your hair. Go to a Salon to see if they can do anything to fix it. Don't do anything to it yourself. You'll probably just damage it even more.

You might not want to dye it black. Because if you dye it black the spot of your hair that is breaking off will show up even more.

Ask a Salon hair stylist to help you gain back the strength in your hair. Eat right and use lots of protein. Stay away from hair chemicals

you dont have to die your hair to make it look different... accessorize until your next touch-up. Wear bows, ribbons, berets, anything to make it look cute, full, and THERE. also, go to a salon, get a new haircut, and try some deep conditioning treatments. that way, it will ggrow back, have body, and have lots of volume. i hope i helped you out!

I would not do another thing chemically. It is only going to cause more damage. If it is not relaxed then you can put a warm straightening comb through the new growth until its really time for touch up. I do my own hair and I read on the essence website that to prevent breakage you should put conditioner on the part of the hair that you dont want relaxed to prevent over processing.

STOP don't color your hair for at least 2 months after you relaxed your hair. Keep your hair moisturized with oil or grease and. Use a good shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair Daily for at least 1 week. Wrap your hair in a silk scarf at night. Follow these step for about 1-2 weeks and your hair will heal.

I suggest you don't put any more chemicals anymore unless you wanna rock that Britney.

i would not put another relaxer on it, you might loose all your hair. I'd go to an hairdresser who can advise you on the best course of action. If your hair is badly damaged, I'd get a haircut, and have it braided for a couple of months to give it a break, and start again. The next time you decide to relax it, get a friend to help you apply it, and make sure you do not exceed the time stated. And whatever you do, DO NOT RELAX IT AGAIN FOR NOW, or put more chemicals on it~you will regret it. Good luck.

DO NOT PUT ANY OTHER CHEMICALS ON YOUR HAIR!!!

Go to your beautician immediately, hopefully she can start saving it. And next time, do a strand test before you just dump the relaxer on your head.

Ok, I just got a relaxer last Friday! Perhaps the relaxer was too strong for your hair or you left it on too long. I have only had my relaxers done professionally but I had a friend from college who got a relaxer and it took her hair out from the root in spots. It too forever for it to grow back. I asked my salon what happended to her and he said the relaxer was too strong and stripped the hair shaft and killed the hair folicle. She ended up cutting it so it could grow back. How often do you relax your hair? Make sure you are not overlapping relaxers and allowing 4-6 weeks between them. Be careful not to double process your hair. By this I mean don't relax it then color it in the same day, UNLESS its a semi- permenant color. Why would you dye it to cover up the breakage? Try a deep conditoner. I know my stylist uses something called Aphogee. It smells like horse pee but it works to rebuild the hair shaft. If you want more info. just ask me!!!

GOOD LUCK SWEETIE!!

Sounds like you've overprocessed it. You need professional help. Go to a shop. Don't try to color it or reperm it cause that might (will) make it worse. If it's damaged to bad you might want to start looking at short and sassy do's.
