My daughter is 19 mths, and her hair is still boy short, and very thin. what can i do to change that

When she was born she had a fair amount of hair, then it all fell out, now it is curly, very thin and extremely short, the length is about 2 inches from her scalp. I cant do anything really to her hair, and it frustrates me when we have to go out to a nice place, and her outfit is beautiful, then her hair is....well guess. Now, i do put on head bands, but she wears them so much she has a a very thining spot all around her head from wearing it too much. Can someone please give me some pointers...maybe a special shampoo. Because cutting her hair is like giving her a fade. Thank you

There is nothing you can do but letit come in on it's own. It is very natural for a child under the age of three to have very thin hair. As she gets older it will thicken up. Try using a more natural shampoo as drug store and even professional products contain a lot of wax. Wax can clog up the pores in the skin and prevent hair growth. Try going to an organic store . Organic products aren't always more expensive. I swear by them and I am A hairstylist!

Well.. I can only answer for myself....

I know I didn't get my first haircut until I was 2 years old.

As far as I know, each person's hair will come in in its own time. I have never heard of anything that will make a babies hair grow better or quicker yet.

The only advice I can give is: give her plenty of milk or other natural sources of calcium and vitamin D (no pills) to promote a healthy hair growth, keep the headbands off her except for special occasions because you may be damaging the roots of her hair and don't worry -

once it comes in, her hair will probably be prettier than everybody else's ;)
