does anyone know where i can find pics of this perticular style or what its called...(if you even know what im talking about) so i can show it to my hairstylist. (if this helps im pretty sure Ashley Tisdale now has a style sort of like the one im planning on getting..well she did when she starred on the show punk'd)

I believe the style is called a mullet. Aptly named after a rather ugly fish.
