How does thinning your hair work?

ive been postin a lot of questions about hair thinning lol but anyway you know how you get it cut thinned? well how do they do it i heard that they use like razors and thinning shears? but how does that work?

I have that done all the time, make sure that the hairdresser you go to does NOT use razors!!!! Get them to use scissors or thinning shears. My hairdresser twirls a section of hair and slides the scissors down the shaft. That works pro. Also you can get multi layers that works well with some thinning, helps make better hairstyles.

they have a tool that the go through your hair with and it has an interior blade. when slided through your hair the inside part comes out

Either can be used. What they do is cut into the hair (underneath where it is unseen) to take the weight out of your hair. This also allows for more fun styles and body waves..... and less head sweating in the summer months.

thinning is when they takle a razor to your hair and run it up and down!....i wouldn't do it...hahaha

it just trims out extra hair from underneath. which takes out a lot of weight.

i have pretty thick hair and it gets all weird and it used to be bumpy not nice wavy. but then my hair stylist cut my hair into short layers and thinned my hair. and it feels lighter and it's more manageable. and it can be all wavy, naturally.
