Too much hair static?

okay..i need help. i have straight fine/thin hair that just won't volumize. is there any easy tips i can do to get my hair more volume?? also, my hair turns static very easily (for example, if i wear a fleece jacket its static)...what is the best way to tackle this? Any good hair cuts for volumizing fine hair? i don't want to cut my hair short or put layers...just a restyling cut please!

Oh man.. this is sooooooooo me.. and I have not found a cure yet.. but..I have tried so many things.. and I have resorted to the layers.. but.. I did just find out that if I mousse my hair, blow dry it, then curl it, it appears thicker, and I have not had the static.. and also.. I have found that a dryer fabric softener sheet.. run it through your hair.. helps with static.. and stay away from hats.. just accept the fact that you cannot wear hats.. :)

ok, it may sound really wierd, but carry a drier sheet (like bounce) in your purse or whatever. when your hair gets frizzy, run the sheet over it. since its made to reduce static in washes, itll do the same for your hair. plus it smells good :-)

The only hair cuts for volumizing is to put in some layers. You can also use big velcro rollers, they work really well. After you blow dry your hair (this is the faster way) just pop them in whever you want and let them sit while your doing your makeup. When you take them out, a little hair spray and your good to go. You can spray the spray on your roots to hold the volume if you dont want to spray your whole head. Also you can just blow dry using a round brush (a big one if you want to keep your hair semi straight) and take your hair in sections (about the size and width of your brush) and hold the blowdryer under at your roots. Then pull the brush along the rest of each section with blow dryer on top pointing down the hair section. If you want lift, it's important to lift at the roots. As for your static, don't wash all of your conditioner completley out or use a spray in conditioner. You can also buy product for the fly aways from the drugstore. Ask the girl at the counter.

You should get the Sunsilk kind of shampoo for more volume. That totally works, I had the kind that makes your hair straight and my hair look like it could brake being so flat and straight. Try that product or when you get your haircut ask the haircut person what kinds of products can make my hair volumize.
