okay, well i have always had a natural light red in my hair. i've been dying my hair brown for awhile now and it just turns out auburn. Tonight, I wanna dye my top half of my hair blonde and keep the bottom dark. How do I color my auburn hair blonde without a LOT of damage. I have very thin hair so i wanna use less chemicals possible. heeellppp!

Go to a Beauty Supply and ask them to give you the quickest powder bleach they have. Also get a package of kaleidacolors for brassy tones. Mix 1/2 of the quick powder bleach and 1/2 kaleidacolors with enough 40 volume peroxide to make a good consistency (not too soupy). Apply to your hair, put a plastic cap over hair and sit under a hair dryer. Heat makes the bleach process faster (the faster the process the sooner you can rinse the bleach out of your hair, the better for your hair). If you don't have a regular hair dryer, use your blow dryer to heat your hair up. You will have to keep moving your blow dryer around your head to get even heat, but it works too. Keep an eye on the processing, you don't want to leave this bleach on your hair no longer than necessary. You will probably end up with a strawberry blonde since you have a lot of red pigments in your hair though.

oooooh good luck with that! red is the hardest colour to get blonde, and you will have to do alot of damage to get it blonde. sorry. could you possible do the bottom half blonde instead? the hair underneath is stronger and less damaged to begin with, so that would be better
