Is Horse Mane N Tail Shampoo damaging to use on your hair?

I have fine thin hair to my shoulders that was recently chi permanently straightened. All the good shampoos like Redken, Rusk, etc. leave my hair too limp and thin looking...stringy. I tried the Horse Mane N tail and it made it look a lot fuller, but I don't want it to damage my hair because my hair was damaged before the Chi straightening anyway due to bad highlights by someone who didn't know what she was doing and made my hair break off real bad. Is it dangerous to be using this on my hair??

You're really not supposed to use anything that can cause buildup...even some people shampoos like Patene can coat the hair more than is recommended.

If you have good results from it, though, and don't notice any breakage...I would recommend using it no more than 2 or 3 times a week and also using a good deep cleansing shampoo at least once a week.

Probably the best thing to use on damaged hair, until it starts to become more healthy, would be something very gentle like baby shampoo.

Not at all. It's what I use and my hair has stopped breaking off as much. I also use a 100% jojoba hot oil on it once a week to help repair damage while it grows out.

My cousin uses that shampoo and her hair is beautiful and thick and long. Everyone I know that uses it says that it works great and helps get rid of split ends, so I think that it would work fine for your hair! Good luck!
