Why is my hair thinning out?

I'm a guy in my early twenties, and in a period of three or two months my hair has been thinning and falling out. It's gotten to the point where at some angles, my scalp is slightly visible under the hair. I have thought that it could be balding (I'm pessimistic), but this just happened so suddenly and I have always had thick hair that grows way too fast. I'm distraught and confused.

Whatever you do DONT be tempted to buy any of those hair products that claim to replace lost hair.

I would speak to your GP, if he/she is competent they should ask you about any changes in your lifestyle, diet, sleep pattern so on,

failing that see an accredited specialist.

the hair has three stages, growing, resting and shedding though not ALL your hair will do this at the same time.

Has any other males in your family had any similar experiences? some hair patterns are genetic

Hope that helps a little,
