My hair loss too much for rogaine?

I am 16 and suffer from thin hair all over my head, including on my temples. My dermotoligst told me to start using rogaine, however the box says use in areas of balding but I have thin hair everywhere.

Should I use it all over my head? That is going to be alot I will be using at once. The dermotologist told me to use rogaine even though she does not know whether it is male pattern baldness or diffuse alopecia.

Also try Nioxin. It's a shampoo and conditioner line that is made for people with thin hair.

Yes! Definately use it ALL over your hair. After a while, you will start seeing some GOOD results!!

There are only 2 things I know of that work if it's possible at all to stop the cycle your in.

First and most important-Message your scalp. A friend of mine proved that would regrow hair a long time ago with a little experiment the other person was not aware of. It may have been up to 2 months, but no longer than that. New hair began to sprout on a bald man. It was 10 minutes or so a day. Message when you shampoo. It stimulates the scalp bring more blood flow to dying follicles.

Second-There was a treatment we used to do that was electric current applied to the scalp for increased blood flow and stimulation, people used to come get that done once a week.

If those two don't help, then there's probably not a lot you can do. Part of what makes rogaine work is the fact that you are supposed to message it in. That's what does more than the product itself. The product may have a chemical that helps draw blood to your scalp, but either way those are the options I know of.

when rogaine was first created, it was a heart medication.....does that tell ya anything about it? try this scalp shampoo called nioxin. it puts your scalp in prime condition to grow hair. it isn't a guarantee that your hair will grow because if the root is damaged, it probably won't.
