i want to go get my hair thinned at a hair salon but is it a good thing to do. like wat do they do to your hair. i have med. length hair and i straighten it everyday. would it be good for me to get it thinned. and will i still be able to put it in a ponytail?

I have a lot of hair and have always gotten it thinned since I was a little girl. You don't notice other than your hair feels lighter and you can style it a little easier. You can still put it in a ponytail. Hair thinning is really common. I think ever female that I know has there hair thinned out. Don't worry its nothing serious.

IF you hair is thin, I would not suggest it. I have my hair thinned out once a month. I have really thick hair. My daughter does too. We had her hair thinned out and it was a lot easier for her to straighten. Try it once and see if you like it. The bulk should grow back in a month or two if you don't. Her ponytail also lays nicer and isn't as bushy.

well if you already have a regular thickness of hair i wouldn't do it but if you have really thick hair go for it =)
