Hair Extensions?? How bad is it for your hair?

I am thinking about putting extensions in my hair to give it more body and length. A friend of mine had it done and her hair looks beautiful, but I've heard that it damages your hair a lot. Looking for feedback from people who've had it done.

For more info I am hispanic with naturally straight, thin hair, and the length is about mid back.

The damage depends on the type of extensions you get. If you get fusion (strand by strand), it could really do a number on your hair if it's already thin.

If you had a weave net %26amp; tracks sewn onto that, there is really no damage. Just be aware that when you take them out, you will see some shedding but that is normal.

If you thin hair, I suggest thinking about getting skin wefts. They will add thickness %26amp; body with minimal to no attachment to your hair itself. Plus you can add wicked highlights!

Good luck with your choice!

worse than straightening your hair with a really expensive straightener!

its bad but if you want extensions just buy those extensions that you clip into your hair. like a few people at my school had them and they actually stay in your hair. i think their called like ashley simpson extensions but its just like a small little comb with hair extensions attached on the other side. so you can pretty much take them out whenever you want but they look real.

Look into clip in hair extensions. They are less expensive, can last longer and won't damage your hair.
