Unhealthy hair!!?

i know that if you were born with thin hair it cannot be treated, but what if your hair has gone thin over last couple of years? How do you solve this problem? is there such treatment?

Unhealthy hair!!?

Am sorry but not one person has answered your question correctly. They dont know what they are talking about.

I am going through the exact same thing. My hair use to be very thick over the years it has thinned dramatically. I had a blood test done because i knew it was abnormal and something was wrong. It turns out i had severe iron deficiency anemia which caused this. my hair loss has still not corrected yet. I suggest you first get blood tests done. See whats wrong on the inside. Then look up on google the vitamin Saw Palemetto ... am using this for hair loss and i am a female its supposed to be really good. i have only used it for 2 weeks yet. You should try too. In the mean time just stick to your normal shampoo no special one needed as they dont work and go to your doc. Good luck chick and just want to say you are not alone. i am 20 and been going through this for 2 years and its ruined my social life. xx

Unhealthy hair!!?

herbal stuff should do the trick pop into your local pharmasist

Unhealthy hair!!?

sorry but if your hair has started thinning over the last few years then you should go and see your doctor to make sure there is nothing wrong with you.

Unhealthy hair!!?

yeah you use volumizing hair products and tease your hair to make it look fuller .

Unhealthy hair!!?

Hair loss can be caused by hormonal changes in the body. If this is the cause, hormonal treatment/therapy can reverse the thinning hair. This is especially true if you are perimenopausal. See your doctor.

Unhealthy hair!!?

buy a volume shampoo and conditioner. do not tie it up too often do not blow dry or use ne heat products on it.

good luck

two-two has spoken

Unhealthy hair!!?

I think you just have to stop styling it so much and eat the right things.also go to the health food shop and they will give you some good advise on what supplements to take for healthy hair growth.good luck :D

Unhealthy hair!!?

That too cannot be treated. But a hair transplantation can treat both.

Unhealthy hair!!?

are you on new medications? even over the counter meds can cause more hair loss. there isnt anything you can really do besides get hair transplants.

another thing to do to hide it a little-is have shorter hair-the shorter it is, the less noticeable it will be. you can use all the "thickeners" or "volumizing" products out there, but none of them really work in your case.

Unhealthy hair!!?

Hi,treat your self to a new hairstyle.Your hair dresser will give you a style to make your hair look thicker.Good Luck

Unhealthy hair!!?

I agree to get your thyroid checked. That can really affect your hair if you have a problem. You can also go to the salon and get special shampoo for thinning hair.

Unhealthy hair!!?

hair extensions

Unhealthy hair!!?

well to be honest the best way to thicken out thin hair is at the hair dressers they have all sorts of hair styles to make your hair appear thicker than it is without the lengthy process of volume Shampoo but that would also help so try that out too. good luck hun:D x

Women can experience thinning hair for many reasons. First of all, there閳ユ獨 aging. Thinning hair is a natural part of aging and is common even among the healthiest women. Once you pass age 20, you shed more than the normal 40 to 100 hairs a day. Then a combination of factors, including heredity and hormones, causes some hair follicles to get smaller and smaller. Normally, hair grows about a half-inch per month, but this "miniaturization" of the hair follicles prevents the hair from following its regular growth process.

In addition to the natural aging process, particular situations may cause hair thinning, including hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid gland), anemia (low red blood cells), poor diet, certain medications, stress, childbirth, and perimenopause (the time leading up to menopause). Fortunately, this type of hair thinning is usually reversible, once the underlying cause is treated.

By far the biggest cause of thinning hair in women is a persistent condition called androgenetic alopecia, also referred to as "hereditary hair thinning." Hereditary hair thinning affects more than 30 million women in the United States.

Other disorders that cause hair to thin include alopecia areata, telogen effluvium, and traumatic alopecia, all of which are discussed in detail in this site.

Your health care provider (pharmacist, nurse practitioner, gynecologist, primary care physician, or dermatologist) can help you determine the actual cause of your thinning hair. Once you know the reason, you can explore your treatment options.

Lots of fibre in your diet (figs, dates, prunes, nuts ect) to stimulate folicule growth. Also, try the Aussie hair range. Full of great stuff - but buy them in Superdrug as they have more special deals (3 for 2 ect) and they arent particually cheap!
